Travel Book

I have always loved stories. I like to read them and I like to tell them and no matter, if they are literal or visual, they are all the same dear to me. The first stories in my life I read from my father’s hand. He used to tell me about his childhood and used his palm as a page of a storybook. He told about gnomes and elves, about horses and his life as a boy. The reality and imagination was always so close to one another that you could never tell which was which.

I have always loved travelling. Sometimes my travels reach lands faraway, sometimes they happen in my mind, sleep or awake. In my travels I am looking for something, not quite knowing what that could be, but I do know that when I find it, I will recognize it.

The Travel Book is an ongoing project together with my friend and colleague Gizella Varga Sinai, whom I met on the bridge between east and west. Our first encounter happened in Finland, then in Iran and now we are sending our works in a travel together. We start from Finland and the time will show, where the journey leads.
